Day 7
Just checking in briefly. Tuesday is Meet the Doctor day. There was nothing to see, so I was allowed to slip into my street clothes (and out of the gown) before I met with her.
Apparently the "tired" is to be expected and "there's nothing we can do about it." It might ebb and flow; it might just get worse; it might go away sooner (rather than later). Bottom line, by November, it will be gone (just in time for holiday seasonal depression to set in).
In the meantime, for those of you keeping score: 26 left to go.

I, too, had two lots of radiotherapy and felt much more tired with the second lot. I think it's because the body is already worn down by previous treatments. Keep your chin up and remember that this too shall pass.
Best wishes

no wonder you are tired, with the stress of your diagnosis and treatment, not to mention the loss of your dear Princess.
I would look into alternative healing, such as acupuncture and therapeutic massage, naturopathy, etc. In many of the large medical center, they are used in conjuction with Western treatment, to help with the side effects. They will not get rid of the tiredness, but may help ease it for you.
Good luck...

Ann, we are all counting down with you! You should make one of those paper chains like we used to make at Christmas when I was a kid, one link for each day, and take one off each day. A visible reminder that you're getting there. . .
