Why Fireworks Are Illegal

They are dangerous.

They disturb the peace.

They scare other people's pets.

And now that the actual holiday is over, please put them away until next year.

Fireworks are legal in the county where I live. The stands open about three weeks before the holiday and from that minutes until the 4th is over, you can hear firecrackers going off. I have no need to go anywhere to see a fireworks display on the 4th because my neighbors are shooting off everything imaginable. I'm always glad when the 4th is over because they put the fireworks away until about Christmas or New Year's. There are times when it sounds like I'm living in a war zone.
