Not a Quick Knit!

There's a bit of progress to show on the Random Dulaan Sweater.

It's slow going compared to, say, the Lopi wool (knit on size 10s). This one is a heavy sport/light DK on 4s and 6s.

I think it's going to be quite pretty and already I am concerned that there won't be enough yarn [gasp] and this stuff is so long discontinued that there's no chance of finding more.

If push comes to shove, I have a lovely Austerman Merino that's the same weight. It's a deep royal blue. Perfect!

niiiiiiiiiiice.

Pretty, pretty.

When I plan a Dulaan sweater and have X amount of yarn, I consult my Ann Budd's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns for the size that will work with my yardage, then knit the next size smaller. Because I am a chicken.

Lovely!

If you do run short of the PingoFrance, let me know. I have oddballs (very well aged - sweaters for my nieces and nephew at least 12 years ago!) in coral, turquoise, dark green, violet and deep red. In fact, if you want them now, let me know. I'll be happy to dig them out for you!

Looks gorgeous so far! I can't wait to see what it grows up to become.

I have some Pingouin France+ in a royal blue about 3.5 balls that I would be happy to send on over. See how virtuous I'm being? No brainer, shrinks the stash man, shrinks the stash. ;)
