Dressing In the Dark


Here's what you might discover, as I did, when I was unlocking the door at work this morning.

At least they are both the same size and brand.

My socks match each other.

My pants are clean and pressed.

My polo shirt is white and bright.


But my sneakers don't match!

I did that back in my 20's - first job, got up around 5am, rush to work, take elevator and gaze down at my shoes - Oh no! They were both pumps, but one was black the other brown.
I sat behind my desk all day.....

At least yours were both white tennis shoes!

I wore two different shoes to work once. One black pump with a grosgrain toe and a brass buckle (yes, I was a little twee) and one plain black pump. Walked around for ages thinking there was something wrong with me (did I mention different height heels?) until I finally looked down ...
